REGISTRATION FOR ALL GRADES (NO TRYOUTS)
There will be no tryouts for Grades 5th-8th this season. Teams will be formed after registration closes. However, roster space is limited, so please take the following into consideration before registering:
-To be eligible players must either be a student at St Joseph School or actively attend the St Joseph Religious Education Program (children that are home schooled for Religious Education are unable to participate in SJAA programs)
-The season starts in early December and potentially runs through mid-March.
-Teams will have some combination of 2-4 games/practices weekly.
-Only register if playing for the parish team is a priority and attendance at games/practices a priority for your player.

Registration closes on Thursday October 28th, 2021

GYMNASIUM
The floor in the gymnasium sustained some damage during Hurricane Ida. For now, it is not available. Plans for repairs are proceeding. We should have more information on the status of that over the next few weeks.

We have spoken to a local school about renting gym time for practices to get started. We have also discussed the situation with the CYO league and might need to schedule more away games than home games, at least to start.

VOLUNTEER COACHES
In addition to the volunteer requirements set by the parish, volunteer coaches must also provide either:
-Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
or
-Submit to weekly COVID-19 testing (in accordance with NJ Executive Order 253)

Information on volunteers who need to be tested will be sent out seperatly.

FEES:
No fees are due at registration. Fees will be collected after teams are formed. There will most likely be a price increase to help offset the cost of renting an off-site gym and for other maintence needs & supplies required during this time

FACILITY COVID GUIDELINES
Each school/facility will have their own mask guidelines (NJDOH Guidelines are the minimum, some facilities might have more strict policies). We think it would be safe to assume that anyone entering a gym must be wearing a mask while in that facility, with the only possible exception of players engaged in physical activity.

We look forward to having the kids back on the court.
